LED deck lights

Has anyone found a suitable LED unit that can be fitted under spreaders to provide deck lighting ?. I have nothing there at the moment, so it is not just a case of replacing bulbs. Many thanks.

would you really like those over bright dazzling lamps above your deck.
how long would you have them on anyway, pointless power saving imho

Plenty of LED's are capable of providing enough light to do the job and you could always adapt a CREE Led to fit into a standard light fitting but, as Sailorman has said, what's the point?

I bought a small length (5metres) of chained LEDs for the workshop this time last year. Chinese made, 12v. Still works.

They have 24v and 12v work lights in waterproof enclosures.

as Sailorman has said, what's the point?

There's perhaps not much point replacing an existing incandescent fitting with LED, but if you're installing from scratch why not go for the better technology? Heating up coils of wire is so last century

I think you will find those in the above link are set up for 240vAC using a switch mode current limiting transformer.

Third ones across are them. Price is about the same, also in 24v.

So have I, but the delivery takes much longer than they claim. Last one was over 8 weeks, which was exactly one week too long for my last boat visit
