Leather wheel cover

I have a used one taken off a 50 foot Contest Yacht..so reasonable wheel diameter..
Nothing wrong with it ..it’s in 4 pieces grey colour .
You need to google putting them on
Was going to EBay it but pm private offer and it’s yours ..save loads!
Cheers

Some kits include a thin layer of closed-cell foam to apply under the leather. I have this and think the result is nicer than the plain leather I've used on other boats, which itself is obviously much nicer than plain steel.

I bought my kit from boatleather.com in the States. Excellent kit, closed cell foam inner layer, easy to fit, great sewing instructions.

Ditto. Fourteen years on its still fine. A bit weathered but no signs of deteriorating.

Lasts beautifully. Crew scraping sailing gloves against the helm for hours on end tend to smooth the nice soft finish a bit, but the weather hasn’t harmed mine.

I had a superb job done on two wheels and a sprayhood grab rail by Keith here [ http://www.leatherhelmwheels.co.uk] near Southampton: real craftsmanship, including quality details like gloves 4” up each spoke, butting seams sewed on the inside so they don’t fray, and a Turk’s Head at TDC so you can feel when the tiller’s amidships at night or when you’re motoring astern into a berth. All for the price others ask for just a kit.
