Hi and welcome to the Forum.

A T46 is one heck of a boat to start with but I am sure that you will get the hang of it.

The Sealine Forum is well worth joining - access to manuals, lots of help and advice and a great bunch of friendly people to boot.

We are just going through a purchase with a survey next week as well. Good luck.

Well done, you only live once so enjoy it whilst you can. Hope it all goes smoothly and do keep us in the picture (and post some pics!) as to how it progresses.

leap of faith

Thanks volvopaul.Boat has tamd73p,s which appear to have been looked after properly- fingers crossed. It is currently near Barcelona and am intending to have a look at Sant Carles next weekend.I know a good few forumites keep their boats there.Thought it would be a good base from which to find my feet and start having some fun.

Congratulations. We had a T46 for 3 years a while back, and were very pleased with it. What's the name, it might be ours? I learnt quite a lot about the boat in the time we had her, and did a few mods, so feel free to ask if you have any q's.

They have a fair bit of windage so take it easy berthing in cross winds until you get used to her, but otherwise no real issues.

Congratulations Peter. Very nice boat. The design still feels an incredibly clever trick with the aft cabin and aft cockpit arrangement. Strange it hasn't been copied more

Post some pics when you get the chance

Thanks everyone.Good luck with your survey Greg.Volvopaul, the boat has tamd73p,s of which i have had mixed reports. They have been properly maintained and am hoping all is well with survey results. Thanks Nick.Am sure i will have lots of questions in due course.
The boat is spanish registered to its original owner and is near Barcelona at mo.I am intending on visiting Sant Carles next weekend-seems a very friendly place and a good base for a novice to continue my boating education!.Will post pictures and more news soon.
