Leaking Lewmar Hatch

We have a Lewmar Hatch year 2006, which appears to be leaking between the acrylic glass and the aluminium frame - i.e. thro the rubber gasket.
Can anyone suggest how to fix this?

I had this on an older boat but I guess the construction principle is the same ... good old Captain Tolley's fixed it.

Made sure the joint was absolutely dry and just kept adding the liquid, and letting it dry, until it backed up. Good for the three years until I sold the boat.

I also have had this problem with Lewmar hatches and as above, solved it the Captain Tolley's. Certainly worth a try and may need to be done annually but easier than the alternatives. If that fails, then there are companies that will refurbish the hatch +seal etc but it would mean taking out the hatch and sending it off for refurb.

If it's like older lewmar hatches the bit between the glass and the frame is actually sealer that holds the glass in place. You should be able to get the glass out and leave the rubber seal in place. My glass was actually popping out of the frame if you pushed up on the handles.
I cut mine out a few years ago and resealed it with black sealant to form a new gasket/seal. Time consuming getting all the old sealer off and masking off the glass and frame for the new sealer. Good job to do over the winter. Worth replacing the rings under the handle at the same time.

Ours is probably more modern than some described- we don't have a mastic seal as far as I can tell just a 'rubber' of some sort, gasket.
I'll try Captain Tolleys tomorrow assuming it stays dry.

I replaced the 9mm acrylic in my Lewmar forehatch - had a new piece cut and obtained the rubber sealing moulding from someone in Kent, recommended by Lewmar.
Don't use silicone sealant - that only lasts about 5-6 years. The original was a polysulphide sealant which gradually extruded. In the end I found a modified urethane elastomer which takes about 60 hours to set but has proved utterly leak-free for 6 years.
The rubber gaskets are (I was told by Lewmar) good for about 12 - 15 years before needing replacement, in high UV areas like the Med about half that.
