Leaking cabin windows/port lights - how to rectify?

I've removed and rebuilt some aluminium framed ones using the methods described above by others. Mine weren't glued in with Sikaflex or similar for which I was thankful and I resealed the frames to the GRP using butyl tape so that when they're removed in the future, it will be relatively easy. PBO had a feature on window renovation on Hantu Biru a couple of years ago. My frames were split horizontally and the two halves joined with fish plates.
A satisfying job and not too difficult but care is required.
I'm always banging on about using appropriate sealants - sealant for sealing where there is a mechanical fixing, and adhesive sealant only where adhesion is required but most seem to slather on vast amounts of Sikaflex, pu40 and the like regardless. Which makes the job much harder the next time.

Well, bolts yes but with flat ended machine screws.
By that last remark of mine I meant hex heads and nuts - much easier to remove the next time.

NEXT TIME???? Hopefully not in my lifetime!

I wouldn't use hex nuts and bolts, they will not look very nice. The inter screws usually work OK.

Eagle Windows have changed ownership and relocated. Apparently the previous owners are still around for a while in the background during the transition. The previous owners refurbished 12 windows on 2 separate occasions including re-doing 2 that leaked. Remedial works done without hesitation or question and since have been fine.
