re engine treatment, there are two schools of thought, as with old cars.

1) says run the engine every month, but it must be fully up to temperature, and that includes the oil. Anything less does more harm than good.

2) says drain oil, put in special preservative lay-up oil. run to circulate, then plug exhaust and air intake and leave it alone.
