Firstly a huge thanks to everyone who came along.... what a teriffic night!
Excellent grub from the Swallowtail, even if they did serve the starters up 15mins early, and apologies to those arriving as the food was plonked on the tables!
As for the cotton reel tanks.... well... what can I say.... some stupendous efforts.... the distance covered by the Kioni machine was truly remarkable.... and special notice was taken of the Solene machine.... some 12" in diameter, and equipped with Harken bearings!!!!!!!!!!
Great fun with the 'awards' and thank you to everyone for taking them in the spirit intended.
A thoroughly enjoyable evening, with excellent company, and as ever, hugely entertaining conversation.
Finally, a very very special thanks to Jim for organising the whole evening, and in particular for sorting out the complicated tally of contributions at the end of the evening....
Looking forward to Laying down 2010
