Sadly you're not alone with the family thing getting in the way, the irony being it's my own birthday the week after so one has to do the family thing the week before or lose out on weekend passes for a while
Hope it all goes well, have a good time all

Laying down supper 2009

Hi Jim,
Very sad to inform you that we will not be able to make it this weekend. We have a fostered lad with us who was supposed to move on this week, but it hasn't happened, so we are stuck. Shame, but what to do?
Have a great evening, maybe see you all next time.
Regards
Chris

I shall be following the Dualins with the Platinum menu:

Prawn & Crayfish salad.
Pork Tenderloin
New York Cheesecake (only cos I never heard of it before so it has to be tried)

Additionally I shall not be travelling in Still Dunno, (have you guys seen the winds forecast for Saturday?).......so if anyone has a berth for the night I would be grateful, otherwise I shall find a B&B somewhere. I will need an early-ish departure as there is another major sporting event occuring in West London on Sunday afternoon.....Come On You Blues :D:D

Regretfully, Black Magic (that was 4 people) has had to change plans too. Due to engine failure (see my dismal thread on towing), we can't make it either. Diagnosis is bad and very miserable.

Please let me know if we owe anything due to lost deposits. More than happy to reimburse.

Kioniites will not be sailing over, not logistically possible for us this weekend, but we will be coming by car.

However, the whole peninsula is bluidy tight for accommodation, we've had a heck of a time trying to find somewhere to stay. I've JUST managed to squeek into the White Hart because they had a cancellation in the last hour and the kids will be sharing a zedbed. They have a twin and a couple of singles left in their annexe with shared bathroom but that is all I could find anywhere so if you need something get it quick - there's some ginormous wedding going on at Mangapp this weekend and everything is booked out for miles.

Kioniite meal choices to follow later, tank construction begins tomorrow

Kioni-ites menu choices:

Mrs Kioni:

Platinum ()
Prawn and Crayfish Salad
Salmon with Hollandaise & Prawn sauce
Sticky Toffee Bomb (I'm bringing the bikes...)

Mr Kioni:

Bar Menu:
Breaded Mushrooms and Dip
Gammon Egg & Chips
Choc Pudding & Sauce

Kioni-mites:

2 x Chicken Nuggets & Chips
2 x Chocolate Pudding & Sauce

Thanks!

So here is my update.
The weather is not looking terribly good, but I did wind over tide in 25-28kts up the Wallet earlier in the year whilst towing a dinghy! (Slightly potty then)

I make that 31, which is nice.

We wont need to make special booking for berths in Burnham, as not so many boats are coming as we originally thought, so please talk to the Harbour Master on 01621 782150.

I will PM those who havent made a menu choice yet, and i will be confirming, for definite, with Swallowtail on Thursday.

We have sufficient prizes amassed now for those who deserve them, and I am really looking forward to it.

See you all Saturday.
