Launching/parking costs

See my Loe beach thread. Been phoning round, Falmouth Haven dinghy park is £25/day, launch/park, car and trailer. I pay £150 for HRSC just to use their slip and parking, so I could get six trips at Falmouth for the same cost, and more if I used Loe Beach, £10 park and launch, or Mylor yacht harbour, free launch and £9 park. Just HRSC is close and I like the river, I can use the others as and when.
I remember the happy days when people hadn't monetised their shoreside property quite so much.

Its the quick buck syndrome.

Boy am I glad to have private facility. I was paying 2.5K a year for a mooring that I only used boat max 2 weeks a year when I could get back to UK.

Same on the Hamble. It was free to keave a dinghy for a long time. Not so now. Some places a dinghy and car parking is a grand a year. A lot cheaper on Isle of Wight.
