Latest Road Safety Initiative to be applauded...nb

I am not usually a supporter of the present government but I think that this latest move to make our roads safer is brilliant and most effective.

Apparently, really stupid drivers are now required to display a white flag with a red cross prominently on their vehicles and if there is a risk of them going to another country then the country of origin too must be displayed upon the flag..

Really stupid or moronic drivers are required to display two such flags.

I suppose a similar thought must have occurred to a rather non boaty crew of mine last weekend. Looking around Chatham marina he asked why some boats displayed a flag on the back. I explained the etiquette, as far as I could recall, including striking at sunset and the meaning of the different background colours.
His comment "Rather Sad"
