I am in Cardiff tommorrow all day and now have to take Thursday and Friday off to sort out last minute things (apparently) although i think it is to keep the bride and groom's mother apart.

Thanks for all your good wishes and dodgy advice on marriage.
This is my last day on the forum as a single Sailbad.
think of another good man down at 1:30 on Saturday.

ccscott49 is the official forum representative at the nuptuals. Pauline b was going to come but cannot now.
(Poor girl could probably not resist trying to drag me off ala the graduate, only this time the old dear keeps the young bloke)

If you want to email messages of condolence pm me and i can let you have the best man's email.
Fair winds
Thanks all
Max and Lucy

I'd never do it again myself. I'd much prefer to find a woman I could'nt get on with and just give her my house. Saving myself years of arguments and hassle.

Best wishes Sailbad - hope you enjoy it as much as I did my wedding day. Mind you, we didn't realise how stressful it was until we had a chance to relax on honeymoon. We were shattered for the first couple of days!

Good luck and fair winds for the future

Good luck Sailbad, rather you than me. Please don't get so tied up you can't get to the forum.

As we say in Ireland

May the wind ever be at your back and may the best day of your past be the worst day of your future.

Best wishes : I'm sure a sailor won't need luck !

best wishes; the inevitable is now accepted.

I have to bear some of the blame - if I had made Saturday night the additional Scotch and rum supplies could have led to a totally different scenario; "sailboat crew hospitilised as yacht broaches surfing between Needles in response to a dare ............"

On second thoughts probably work out for the best this way

After 30 years of marriage , I've come to realise it's all about trust and understanding. My wife doesn't trust me and I don't understand her.
Best of luck

I think it cost me 30 bob to get all the papers, licence etc to get married some 35 yrs ago.

What they failed to explain was that the 39 bob was only a down payment and I would be paying the rest of my married life.

Best 30 bob I ever spent, and I'm very happy to continue paying.

You will soon realise that sailing and marriage have a lot of things in common; you set out one day expecting the weather turn nasty and have a fantastic day, of course you can expect the odd freak wave too.

Wishing you both the very best for the future.

PS. Remember to breath.

The very best of luck on your big day, Max. I don't know what you've done to deserve such a wonderful catch but I hope that your first night together meets your greatest expectations.
