Rothesay (on Bute) has good visitors moorings
Brodick (Arran) also has (had) good a good pub and you can run up Goat Fell the morning after to shake off the hangover!

You'll get a pontoon in both except for Rothesay Jazz Festival (1-5 May) and Tarbert Scottish Series (22-27 May). Make sure you end up in the 'Gluepot' (Argyll Arms) in Rothesay. In Tarbert, the Vic's the nicest but the rest stay open till about 1am.
