Hi all. Has anyone ever used Lanoguard or similar products to protect the lower unit on an outboard motor? Mine sits about 3 inches into the water when tilted up to the max and the dealer said this is as far as it will go up.
My concern is that the front part of the lower unit is well below the anode on the cavitation plate and I am not sure if the handle bar anode that sits on the mounting plate will protect the lower unit, not to mention the constant growth I get even in winter, therefore I though that perhaps a light coating will protect against galvanic corrosion, growth, etc.
Cheers
