land lubber considering flipper 760

Hi I'm pretty new to boating and am considering purchasing a Flipper 760 and have seen two boats for sale:

1. 1981 Ford 4-cylinder diesel engine (approximately 70hp) with Volvo outdrive - (Jones boat brokers, st Ives, Cambs) - 18.75k - viewed today
2. 1990 Volvo Penta AD41/DP x 1 - 200hp (400 hrs) - (INT'L southampton) - 20k havent viewed this yet as is moored in Altea Spain!

Would much appreciate views of people on the boat, the prices (esp why the boat in spain appears much better value for money given its age) and any general tips or words of advice/warning.

Flipper 760 is a nice boat. The bottom is a little flat for use at
sea, but shouldn't disturb any normal use. The boat has sold
quite well in Sweden and Finland so why not try some sites

You have posted at a fairly quiet time, make sure you repost on a weekday if you don't get much input.

The boat in Spain is possibly 'good value' because its in Spain, and may not be VAT paid. Search this forum on 'VAT' for lots of detail on buying used boats, the VAT documents are a minefield. There was a long thread four days ago on buying an S37 in the Balearics.

I'm sure someone more knowledgeable will be along soon....
