Well spotted, as the Lord blessed me with enormous dangly bits I do have to be a tad careful.
The bumper car style wheel also extends to let you reach it from the seat( which resembles a 1960's american car seat). If you look at the "for Pauline" post you can just see the back of it.

I'm no engineer but I was told that the engines were not naturally handed, and that this job was done by American Marine, (Ammarine), themselves, so it's always the engine running backwards that snags, probably the port one from your experience.

This may of course be complete bunkum!!

Nothing wrong with Sabre's, I thought there might be a problem getting a straight 6 where a V8 used to lurk but seeing the Ivecos in a 10m proved me wrong. I think they are luvverley boats with all the easy grunt of a good yankee saloon of the period. Foredeck work not good for the acrophobic.

Wide open spaces like this.
They made their own camshaft and fresh water pump, lord knows why they did'nt just put a reversing box on it.

I've got a Laguna. Petrol but my dashboard doesn't look like that!

Passed Euro Crash Test with *****. Not quite the same as the F1 models.

She looks great Al ... also seen the pic in other post... Would also be nice to see the cabins if at all poss as it would give my freind with the 11.5m something to work towards..

I am sure you will be happy with the Sabre's ... as I told you before, my friends have 2 x 300 Cummins installed (straight six's, and appear to have plenty of space around them) He is very happy and tend to cruise between 17 - 20 knots. Small amount of trim down to bring the forefoot down (shewill become wetter), seems to have a drastic effect on speed (up to 1 knot at same revs). Guess that that the combination of more waterline length and better angle for the propellor thrust does the trick....

Thanks Alf, I'll take some over the weekend and email them to you. We were thinking of putting the water tanks in the bow as she does ride bow up, and getting rid of the diesel genny from the lazzerette, replacing it with a lighter portable one.
