Hi

I’m planning to over-winter in Portugal, most likely in Lagos.
Can people who have done that please comment on the pricing, e.g. Do boat owners just pay the ‘list price’ or is there scope for negotiation ?

Cheers

Cheapest place is Albufeira with Sept 15 - June 15, 9 months for our Bene 381 only €2500. Safe as houses.

There are cheaper marinas but we really liked Lagos there is a beach close by, some great restaurants both sides of the river and a good friendly cruising community. When we were there there was a quiz night.

How much of the winter did you spend on board❓

We did month on month off, free leccy as well plus the superb group on a Saturday night called Grooveline in the Irish Bar. Kept us old gimmers going and our young wives dancing!

Like Heckler, on and off. Probably about 50% of the time but we live next door. Brought the car down for convenience. The car park charges are €1 per day if you have any kind of berth contract. We had a 20% discount in the (Jacks) pub
Happy days.
