Lacoste 36 (or 42)... anyone out there?

We've just purchased a Lacoste 36 and are keen to locate any other Lacoste owners, 36 or 42, out there.

As far as we can work out there were only around 20 made of each size, so it would be really interesting to track down the remaining 39... Anyone know of any sightings?

Welcome to the forum

As you probably know they were Dufours branded for the sportswear company. By all accounts a marketing disaster as only 12 of the 42s were sold, although it continued for a while as a dufour. Don't think they were ever officially sold in UK so you will probably have to look further afield to find any survivors.

Yes indeed, google supplies a fair bit of history on the 42 as well as a list of hulls and owners on another forum - but barely anything on the 36. As far as we can see there's only us and one that's currently for sale in France, but as we're hull no 14 presumably there must be at least another 12 36's out there - presuming they are still alive... I don't have much hope of finding one in the U.K. but hoping someone might have spotted/known/owned one abroad.

But acknowledging that it's probably going to be a tricky search... could anyone recommend any other forums we could try? Or is there a Dufour or Sparkman & Stephens owners association...?
