Has anybody any knowledge of the show, is it worth a three hour drive.
Went to Plymouth show once would not want to make the same kind of mistake again.

I don't think you will see anything there that you would not see in Southampton apart from a few more smaller French companies.

Sorry, just saw your location. La Rochelle is a good show but it rather depends what you are looking for. Southampton is bigger and there are not many manufacturers not represented there.
Edited by boatmike on 14/09/2004 11:25 (server time).

You'd better home SWMBO doesn't find out about this ! What's it worth to keep silent ? (21lbs of cherry tomatoes - no, don't bother I haven't got time to make chutney !)

a pragmatist is an optimist with a boat in the UK - but serious about not being in the UK !

Mainly trade stands, very little for the public to buy. A few pontoons with boats to view. The only stands, stalls with things for sale (2 years ago) were boating memorabelia, some mock antiques, and one stall selling rope. I don't think it is a worthwhile experience - even though entry is free if you are not French.

Now the Paris boatshow in December is an entirely different matter!

What may interest more Butters is the "Mille Sabords" in Le Crouesty at the end of October. Europe's largest second hand boat show.
