Looks like handicap information. RORC Class 1, 5 minutes 45 seconds per hour Time Correction Factor?

Not really my thing, but the racing boys or the RORC themselves may be able to help you out there.

5930 BSF867-2"

Not a scooby. Context?

Simon, these letters were for the first, 1937, Harrison Butler designed Gadfly, so unlikely to be relevant to your Gadfly II.
As Gadfly III seems to have been built in 1949, I've been checking classified adverts at that time, just in case the owner of Gadfly II sold her and put any details in an advert about that time, but no luck so far.

Simon, did you also say Gadfly II had been active in Old Gaffers circles at some stage? They produced a register sometime (perhaps mid 90's?) and even though there was no response to your query on their forum, one of the aims of the OGA was to keep records of gaff rigged sailing craft, and I think a direct query to their Boat Register Officer might be another way forward. If you're not a member I'll do for you.

Hi Ian,
The information I got from a letter between the owner of Gadfly II in 1961/2 and Mr Anderson the person who built the Gadfly's, In the letter he tells the then owner that Gadfly II was started in 1939 and finished in 1946 when it was launched fro Mr Jack Merricks. GasdflyII was active in the old Gaffers at some stage during the 1970's. I am not a member of OGA so if you could find out for me from them it would be helpful, as every time I have tried to contact them I hit a stone cold brick wall and no replies of any kind.

Regards
