I need 4 of these for the screen on my HR352.... but at €24 each I think they are a rip off... anyone know of a source for similar.... (they allow the windscreen middle section to open, the knobs and stays are attached to these)....

Ask around to see if there is a model engineer in your vicinity and who has a small lathe. Chances are that his 'charge' would be much less. I would gladly make them for you if I were not 3,000 miles away.

Thanks for the replies,..... going to be ignored until boat afloat..... looking at them I think it should be relatively easy to make up something to do the same thing...(my son pointed out that the last two seasons afloat I used bungy chord to keep the window closed with a volvic bottle to keep it open ( if motoring the with the screen closed there is a suction effect which brings exhaust fumes into cockpit)

Would they work if made of plastic? If they would, it may be possible to make on my 3D printer.

That looks pretty specialized and is hardly the biggest ripoff I have encountered in 40 years of owning boats lol! Considing the time and effort it usually takes to find or make a replacement for that sort of thing, and the likelyhood of it not fitting, working or looking as good as the originals, I now just grit my teeth and pay. There are easier places to save money in boat maintenance in my experience.
I’m envious of your screen on the HR; they have always had boats on my “dreamboat” list. Fair winds!

that is an interesting thought...they are attached to nylon parts so probably no reason why all plastic would not work.

But the more I look I realise I have somewhere? a few hundred threaded brass fixings that I can modify to do the job...

but as I said twill all wait till the boat is afloat....

Thanks..
