Kitecam

This could trigger the "how much drag from a prop" discussion again.

"How much drag from his kite then?" /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

What are all you sailors doing encouraging him with words of praise!!?? /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif After all that was said on yesterday's discussion, didn't you notice that he didn't even have so much as a traffic cone hoisted!!? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Pacific Seacraft are one of the few US manufacturers who make really rugged, true offshore sailing craft.
They also offer the Crealock 37 and used to build the tough wee Flicka
I particularly like the bit 3/4 of the way through when the camera lens exagerates the earths curvature..It really does look like he is sailing off the edge of the known world !

Lovely aren't they - thanks for the link. Google search for "For sale Dana 24 sail" and you'll find a few used examples for around US$60,000 or so. Nothing came up in the UK though /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

There are just as seaworthy boats about even in wood, ones that are found all over the world including westerlys, but Flika the dana 24 do look fantastic and are fitted out really well. They just look good!

The U.S dose turn out some good boats that would be perfect for the Med,well priced S/H, as well as really solid good world cruisers.

I looked at the price for the Dana 24, a privacy curtain $514 5 coats of varnish $2400 (extra) smost of the extras were very expensive! The boat coat $124.800 i think? What a boat indeed!

Could someone explain what is needed as I think we all agree that it looks really good and it would be nice to know how exactly what one needs and how to set it all up.... so we don't end up having to reinvent the wheel.
