The Kingswear Castle left Chatham yesterday morning on its way back to the River Dart.

Rumour was she was not taking enough money to pay for her keep and was going back in order to try and earn some money.
Was always nice to see her under way,frequently came past on evening cruises with jazz band banging away regardless.

Shame to see her leave the Medway

But I suppose that the client base for her in our area was too small.

Now, if they had started to bring cruise ships into Chatham she would undoubtedly have had a ready market

we have come out of Lime Hse Basin, on a mooring above Hoo marina, having a very nice steak supper in the sun & she went down river with the jazz band. a nice ending the the trip from the smoke

Spending Christmas with Father in law "Over the River" in Kingswear so I'll look out for her and try and get some photos.

We had our evening wedding reception on the Kingswear Castle. Jazz band etc, still warm September eve - magic. Apologies to the crew for spending 2 hours saying goodbye to our friends.....

Sad to see it go but due to be replaced by the Medway Queen by all accounts.

Saw her in Dartmouth yesterday, lovely looking vessel and after all, she does belong on the dart. Tug is still there, waiting on weather?

And I saw her enter the River Dart last week. Quite an emotional occasion with most of the Dart trip boats out to meet her.

Ps.We are waiting for HMS Victory to also return where she was built.
Presently stuck in some god foresaken hole the name of which escapes me at the moment.
