There's a whole army of business development types, adminstrative assistants, publishing executives and design wassernames. So! KH should task them with designing a nice ybw burgee, and flogging it. Or, giving one away for posting of the week. Oh soddit, I'll buy one and they'll be ummm £9.95. Cept for johnR for whom it is £10 ;-)

Thought it would be much better to have our own.
Done by our selves.
We do all the talking.
Seem to manage that ok.
A proper one with proper embroidery.
Not cheap skate rubbishy one. And all done at cost of course.

it should be easily recognisable. White with ybw onnit in that crap blue colour above on white. alright, ybw.com with the two blues. Easy. Gettim to make a price for a hundred in cheap stuff BUT with sewn on burgee wotsit string bits. Also, special defaced ones (twenty off) with "1000" in black underneath. Nice and white will go filthy very soon, so they'll have to buy another one. An shuttup about this "at cost" rubbish, you aren't fooling anyone ;-)

What about sweat shirts - I have a Wake up to Wogan alarm clock but have been unsuccessful in getting a TOGS sweatshirt so could I have a forum one instead - oh and if anyone replies - please try and be rude to me, I feel its character forming.

Errrm...

...why do I get the feeling that I'm on a lose-lose here? Can certainly fire my 'army' at it - but she is on holiday this week so it'll have to be Monday. But us doing it would neatly circumvent the problems you would have when we sue you for ripping off our logo(s) [just joking, I think].

All I need to do now is either get someone to agree exactly what logo is the right one to use for MBC, or whether I can call it ybw.com forums, or...[reaching for Nurofen]

Haydn, if you have surrendered your position as pirate burgee supplier do you want to mail me your contact so we include them for quotes?

Ok once we sort out the basic design. It can be on tee shirts flags or what ever. Zoom up or zoom down. The man charges for his time only so 1000 stitches good or bad is XorY.
But neither he or we are idiots. We've all made a quid or two to even think of buying a boat in the fist place. So We've all been involved with design to some level. It's not rocket science. SO I'll suggest a parot in the middle. Cos we talk allot.
And some words round it like Boat Chat Show. Then it belongs to raggies, stinckpots and others. I dont know how many we will sell. So have to make hopfully a proffit. Proffit can go to RLBI. We just need some rough design that can be worked on.

So you understand the problem Kim. Target price can be any where from about 5 quid upwardes. It all dependes what they want. Of coure they will want all singing and dancing for three quid. but not going to get it.
Contact down the road has all the gear and computer stuff. and I've seen his work. He fires out stuff for PLC's daily.
But then again so do I. So we will work on Parrot ( Cos Of Talking) with blue back ground and Boat Chat Show for words. else we give it to Kim to sort out.

Wot about, white triangle, size, 9 inches tall, 12 long (as recmdd elsewhere), YBW in red letters, on both sides, on one side YBW has big Y along vertical edge and letters taper towards the tail, same on other side but going the other way if you see what I mean. Have a look on http://tooz.hosted.mouselike.org/regalia.html the Fairey one is nice I think but I am likely to be a little biased.

Now I've made a serious suggestion I'll get called boring again by silly sod BarryD (there I have broken our truce).

Could try also Wet and Wild Graphics in Hamble, they do stitchy hat embroider type stuff and well as very sticky letters nad printy t shirt things

£10 MBC version - two leopards resplendent, each with paw covering snout, addorsed on background escallop
£15 version - Larger canvas version of the above, can be sold as storm jib.

I would say that the ybw logo is ok. No prob about ipc getting potty cos they will be pleased AND will have to show "loss" which seeing as how they plastered ybw.com over some old crap factory at SBS last year, there won't be any. So that's that, case dismissed.
