kestrel 22/24??

hi i know someone selling a boat he says its a kestrel 24
but i see loads on the net on kestrel 22 only
does anyone know if the kestrel 24 exists??...cheers

There was a Kestrel 24 but it was a Francis Barnet Motorcycle produced in the 1930s.

Not quite what you had in mind.

Seriously though the original Kestrel 22 was clinker built. Did they grow a bit when made from GRP or could the original design for the wooden ones be stretched a bit. Or is the boat in question not actually a Kestrel but some other 24 footer. (Achilles or Vivacity perhaps)

As far as I know there was only a 22. The original Kestrel was a mahogany clinker design by Francis Jones built on the East Coast from 1955 onwards. in the 60s a GRP version, the Kestrel 22 was introduced by the East Coast Yacht Agency. It was substantially the same but with a masthead rig and a fixed keel(s) rather than a centreboard.
