hi i know someone selling a boat he says its a kestrel 24
but i see loads on the net on kestrel 22 only
does kestrel 24 exist??...cheers

hi i used to have a kestrel 22 ,i think kestral was the model not the make ,i think the makers were seamaster boats tho i could be wrong, good little sailers tho. hope this helps chris

The original Kestrel 22 was a wooden clinker boat with a lifting keel. Seamaster liked the design so made a GRP hull and different superstructure in the mid 60's. The hull being round bilged, not following the clinker shape. These were bilge keel only I believe. In the late 60's thay produced a Mk2 version with a different superstructure.

I owned a Mk1 for 10 years in the 70's and she was a excellent although heavy sailer. Most had an inboard engine, either a Dolphin or Vire but some used an outboard on a bracket. 4 good berths and a good size cockpit. Bermudian sloop rig.

I have never known of a Kestrel 24 so this is possibly a different boat of the same era. I believe the Vivacity 24 was similar in looks.
