I just thought I'd better let you all know that at 8.30 tommorrow morning (saturday) approx 4-500 Minis will be leaving Reading services for Cornwall.
Don't give them stick as they might show you up. (e.g. Purple Mini Clubman 186bhp )

These must be the same ones I met 4-5 years back coming into Cornwall,
saw several broken down alongside the road, others struggling on the hills!
Some obviously burning more oil than petrol judging from the smoke trail some were leaving
behind them!
Where are you all off to Newquay ?
Anyway have a good time of it, weather is shite at the moment, all wind and gales!
suggest you spend the weekend in the Sailors arms, { thats the name of a pub, not a Cornish
pastime!}

Good idea, tell them that they will be in a RED one. Not many red minis out there ah???
Some do have a few problems on the hills but then the 850 is only 34 bhp and not really geared for motorways etc. My Mk1 Morris Cooper that I'm taking at 70 mph is the same as you doing 70 in 3rd gear (assuming modern car)
Thats a marina????? Didn't think I'd see that sort of marina on this forum???
Every may day bank holiday we all invade Nookey for the weekend and it's carnage all the way there. Atmosphere is great, a real experience.

Have a great weekend all

Chris

P.S. Weather is looking good in cornwall :eek:)
