Hello I am looking for contacts that have experince of having changed Keels bolts, particularly on Beneateu's ( I have a First345 ). Any usefull information readily received.
I have changed keel bolts on a Seamaster.
Survey said it was required.
Yard quoted £1200
Obtained £1000 reduction on the boats sale price.
New bolts cost £56
It took me 3 days but estimated only about 14 hours work to replace them.
Prices as of 2001
Hi Very interested in your experience, how difficult was it to remove existing bolts, was it a case of soaking in release oil for days and then attacking with a socket set, or did you need specialised equipment e.g. a hydralic torque wrench do you have any photo's of job in underway ??
