Has anyone experience of using, or know anything about, Kaya rope (made in Turkey)? Widely available here (in Turkey) so wondering if it is up to snuff. Any advice/ recommendations appreciated.

I have Kaya made ropes for the sheets and tack line for the assymetric. They appear to be a bit better than some of the other Turkish brands, but I am gutted that Bosuns Locker in Marmaris has closed down, as they sold Marlow ropes at very reasonable prices. I bought Marlowbraid to make a new main halyard just before they closed, and would not use any of the Turkish ropes for anything that critical.

P.S. one of the other chandlers in the street of chandleries did have some Marlow rope when I was there last month. Other than that the only quality rope I could find was Liros at high prices, and some even more expensive ropes in the West Marine store.
