A squall to get the sea up, then no wind so everything aloft flaps and rattles..Still at least he changed from the Gaff rig. The Gaff used to drive me potty, not enough to fill the main but the occasional breeze to encourage keeping it up. Vangs everywhere!

Maybe not. I understand that the wind has changed direction now coming from the North. :ambivalence:

Perhaps it's those jumbled up winds in the Gulf of St Lawrence North of him having an effect now.

May be it is time for him to change destination back to the Azores.

That's a cruel weather picture, Southerlies over the land and Northerly on the nose over the sea.. Still, at least he's not racing home to be first in for the Tea or Grain markets.

Let's hope that does 'drift South' as they suggest. If I'm reading the charts correctly, it would be good if he could get further West where he might find more favourable wind.

Yes, well done, I enjoyed receiving the position updates, not a trip I've ever considered making and still interested in an update of the reasons for the change of final destination.
