Who thinks we should ban all med based boaters from this place for the duration of our current spell of poor weather. If we can catch one, perhaps we can offer one of them up as a sacrifice to the sun god (if he exists!!)

There does seem to be more than a little gloating from that direction, most unfair when I've only slipped my mooring once over the last month or so!

Of course when the boot's on the other foot we can all pile in .........................................................

Definately should ban them all from here, although allow them to stay on the scuttlebutt.

They're ok - too much sun gives you wrinkles. This weather is what gives you your english rose complexion John !!

then you'd love Mr B. After years of working out in the Med and West Indies he really is wrinkled and weather beaten - bless him

Guilty as charged

Well, M'lud, I submit the following in evidence

Weather Forecast for Cannes

Tues Wed Thur Fri Sat
Max Temp 29deg 27deg 28deg 29deg 27deg
Weather Sun Sun Sun Sun You've guessed it
Wind W4 W3 W2 S3 S3

Pretty damining, I'd say. I plead guilty to succumbing to the temptation of booking EasyJet's finest for this Friday and I throw myself at the Court's mercy

but when exactly is the boot on the other foot? There was some much-trumpeted snow in the med over easter, lasted a few minutes overnight and preceded a glorious day. Oops, sorry, i'll get me coat. Er, I mean, I'll get me sunglasses.

Now how did I guess you and Deleted User would appear out of the woodwork? There was a time earlier this year when it was reported that the UK was the hottest place in Europe, never happened before and probably will never happen again /forums/images/icons/frown.gif

Perhaps you should ask Kim for an exclusive forum so you can both compare notes on how hot/sunny/calm it is over there. Or praps you've already got one? ;-))

Latest weather report from the sunny SW - it's effing raining again!!! Pass me that umbrella!

It may well have been hotter at a particular time of day, or maximum temperature, but sun strength is higher and as usual they didn't say that UK was much colder at night, whilst the med was t-shirts long into the evening. Sorry about that.

Re: Oh come on

I am most pleased that we had such rubbish weather, saved a fortune and killed off the stupid notion of returning with boat to the UK. Mind you, very decent wash-creating hooligan potential with all those boats.

Re: UK Summer, ho, ho

Well Monday June 2nd looks half reasonable!

Current weather conditions in SW, now stopped raining, very cloudy and blowing more than half a gale. Sorry, have to go and prop up my garden fence!

Caught , who\'s been caught

Med is good..

apart from sun, sand, se* and all other things good in life we do not have to worry about overloaded Glastrons. HOWEVER given size of Haydn's recent catches we would appreciate fresh crustaceans delivered next week.

Having done 2 back-2-backs this week already I can assure that SoF is HOT, HOT, HOT.

P.S. Lay off the sheep sha**er jokes, some of us are sensitive.
