I don't think anyone is questioning the reliability of the fuel injection system on D4/D6.
The serious answer is that the D6 option is going to be more desirable. It's more a matter of how much extra money it is worth. Weight could be an issue, and how that might affect trim in a boat originally designed for the lighter KAD series: each D6 will weigh 750Kg compared to 570Kg for a KAD44.
Apart from that there is a list of things to check if buying a D6 powered boat: heat exchanger caps, outdrive hoses, steering rams, props etc...
