Kad32 power steering fluid type and quantity

Helping to refill my friends power steering system at the weekend, but the manual seems a bit short on info. I'm guessing ATF will do the job, am I right? Anyone know how much it takes? I have a couple of litres of ATF and, assuming it's the right stuff, need to work out if I have to buy more.

It may depend on the boat.

eg.
Flybridge boats have different steering systems to sports cruisers.
My F33 , with kad32's, uses a Hynautic system - Teleflex.
I have not needed to top it up but the fluid does not appear to be ordinary ATF

If it's the power steering tank on the engine, manual says "ATF (Dexron II)".
If I remember correctly, a litre or so would do it.

Yes that the one. Little tank mounted on engine powered by a fan belt. Dexron II is what I have so it looks like I’m good to go. Cheers

Arh yes same as the one on my Mercruiser 3 ltr Petrol

Yes, AD31 has the tank around and above the pump.
KAD32 is remote.

I tried that with mine, but the dishwasher just stopped with an error code "D4".

They are drains for the recess around the engine bay lid.
