Hi
Anyone on here experienced this problem
Fault code 5.4 actuator for port engine engages it sounds like a pulley slipping then goes up and down with the revs until you get to about 2000 then ok
Swapped over the solenoids all fine fault code cleared anchored up left mooring pushed her up through the rev range same fault has come up ???
Hope the explanation is clear has anybody else had a similar problem I am thinking throttle cable adjustment check.

Before I have her lifted out trying to think of possible causes /solutions

I don't follow what you're saying. (Bring back the full stop :) ). What solenoids did you swap?

Hi tim, has the fuse blown and been replaced, if so have you cleared the codes and got a 1.1 on the keypad light.

The fuse will blow if the cable has snagged, remove the cable and try to shift forward/reverse by hand if it feels tight its new cable time.

Hi Paul
Fuse not blown or replaced and get 1.1 on the keypads, fault code is Electrical to Actuator 5.4
Could it be the potenteomitor (Spelling not sure of it) sticking when you go over 2200rpm its fine its on the run up through the rev range that it slips.
Sorry about not using full stops JFM am very lazy in my grammar and poor at spelling as are most Instructors it seems.

Having bad luck with engines at the moment this week Jetski playing up electrical fault.
Princess Playing up electrical fault and got a Dayskipper Course running and followed by a Helmsman not good for business
And me running a Yachtmaster Coastal own boat tuition Starboard engine white smoke under load course abandoned came back from Southampton on one engine .
Happy day's eh

What pot sensor are you talking about? not sure what you mean.

If your kad 44 is white smoking id very very weary about using it, injector for sure will bore wash oil off if not looked at net result ££££££££££££££££££, got a kad 300 to strip down soon with 1 cylinder off.

EDC sends signal to drive control when you put engine under load at about 1800 rpm sounds like its slipping, until you get to 2400 rpm then it's fine. The fault code reads 5.4= PORT engine actuator electrical fault swapped over the solenoids and it cured it . Did a anchoring excercise engines off engine on upped anchor left mooring put engines under load and same fault occured am pretty sure its not cables as comes up as a electrical fault . The thingy I am trying to explain is the electical impulse sent via the gear levers to the throttle controls engine end that move the throttles to give you gear and rpm. Sorry for poor explanation.

My Kad 44 is not white smoke, it was the own boat tuition boat turned engine off and came home from Southampton under one engine Beneteau Antaries twin nanni diesels.
