Just to cheer you up

Well here in Sweden its -9c Mmmmm lovely, my boat is tucked up under a nice thick tarp, the weather will get colder, its a long way 'til the summer.... God I wish I was out there on the boat somewhere warm!!!!

Greetings from sunny Florida at 7.35pm local. Just back from another day
"robbing the rich"(driving for an airport Limo service) to fund my boating habit. Started the day badly. Had a 6.30am pickup at the Ritz Carlton, pulled up to the front door as the customer came out with the doorman and managed to lock the keys in the car S*IT!! No amount of effort by those skilled car thieves could get into my Lincoln but a rapid random punching of numbers on the keyless entry system got me in......... 30 seconds after the fare left in another cab.As a consolation prize I got to take a few hotel guest to churches. Lousey tippers those christians. Then the lunch time lull. 2 hours sitting in the car outside the Ritz. No shade. I pay for my own petrol so running the engine to keep the "air" on is not an option with petrol at $2.05 a gallon. Things did get a little better. A very famous (here) coloured lady who has a weight problem got in the car and off we went to a tanning salon????? Please wait says madam celeb. Sure say's I at 50 cents a min. with my share being 70%. Then to Sachs 5th Ave and back to the hotel. $50 fare. $100 bill. no change. Long run of 9 miles.
All in all I cleared $200 for a 13 hour day but I should be able to do this every day until the end of April when the "season" ends and we go sailing. The consolation is that my "boss" is a crook and my earnings are "off the book" SHMBO had left for her "proper" job as a nurse by the time I was back aboard so now I have to cook my dinner > Night All.

Wouldn't leave eh? Good. The more people that think that way the less crowded it will be where I am going. Stay here and change the way it's run so that when I come back for a visit I won't get depressed!

$2.05 per gallon! You don't know you are born laddie! We are paying £0.85 PER LITRE here.....
