Evenstar has a new owner and I owe RobWales plenty of beer for passing on the contact.
Easy mooring at the folly today and it was actually quite nice out on the water but it was flipping cold yesterday.

Already had 2 holidays on the new one and I'm sitting on her right now! I sold my Bayliner 2858 which I've had since 2004, the "new" one is a Sealine S37.
Nice to be out on the bayliner this weekend though.

Long story....
I advertised on B+O and ebay starting may or june last year.
Had an offer very early on which I declined as too low, but actually it would have been wise to take it with the benefit of hindsight as the red furore hijacked the market.
Kept advertising for ages with no luck. Lots of interest around the southampton boatshow and a serious buyer, then I found one of the VAT documents wasn't stamped so he pulled out. Customs took a while to send the stamped one and then it was winter.
Then I saw RobWales had sold his near identical boat, and he sent me the name of a disappointed potential buyer. We couldn't meet up for ages but I wasn't going to readvertise until Excel anyway. He came this weekend and loved the boat, we did the deal over a beer in the folly on Sunday.
So in the end it was word of mouth.

AH HA! Fame at last.......
Was glad to be of help Mark, especially with the offer of a pint in store for me later in the year......oh and a spin around the Solent.
Bet you had everything crossed during the sea trial eh?
I was exactly the same when mine was sold, I knew the boat was great but god forbid anything going wrong on the trial.
