There was just an item on the Welsh News about the "Biggest ever victory for a consumer programme"

The programme "The Ferret" was claiming the recovery of £950k for a faulty "luxury yacht" supplied by Tarquin plus >£100k in out of pocket expenses for a Mr. Paul Burgess.

Mr. Burgess was seen driving a rowing boat with an electric outboard in circles on a lake, while throwing stuff at ducks.

He felt he should "Raise a glass" to The Ferret one day.

Well done!

If it is true , and the figures are dubious to me , it's a fantastic result for Paul , but until he steps up to the podium and responds I'm waiting with baited breath

Is it repeated Tuesday 15th May 2007 at 7.30 – 8.00 pm on ITV1 Wales or is it shown every night with different content. I am sure I can get ITV Wales on Sky.

Was he throwing 'stuff' at ducks, or 'stuffing' at ducks?

Unless I'm very much mistaken its a repeat as there is only one episode a week.

and we once got a viewer £5 for a broken loo seat

[/ QUOTE ] Impressive stuff.

I hope this programme doesn't knock the deal off the rails, for Paul's sake.

The programme in question hasn't been shown yet

The story will be featured in the new series of The Ferret, starting on Tuesday at 7.30pm

[/ QUOTE ] (on HTV Wales)

This was just a 'trailer' dressed up as news as part of the local bit of the ITV news bulletin, but there was video of Mr. Burgess throwing stuff at ducks whilst circling on a pond in a rowing boat with an electric outboard motor. Don't know what the stuff was - maybe clumps of hair he's torn out over the last year, or so?

He looks a lot older than he writes.

They also showed the Coastguard video of Ocean Deep.

I've tried to find an on-line source for the news item, but you get to an ITV web-site that's a lesson in poor design and inadequacy, completely devoid of any current information, let alone streaming video content. They have figured out frames, though. Sadly, graphic design eludes them. Appalling.

I couldn't see it on my Sky box - All BBC regions are there, sandwiched between Adult XXX channels and religious radio, but the only ITV region was London.

103 only gives you your local ITV region. You'll have to get your tenant to record it /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

103 is the channel if you reside at a house with a Welsh postcode. Live in Cheshire and 103 gets me Granada , but there is always an alternative channel number for the regions. I will search for it on Sky tomorrow.

mistereg, I can get ITV Granada when I am at house in Wales, so must be able to get Wales in England.

Just found this

I just noticed that there are two ITV Wales transmissions, so be best to enter them both.

As MajorCatastrophe says, you need to add it as an "other channel" by going through the manual tune directions within his link.

Once you have it on you cannot record it (through sky+).. have to sit and watch as it happens I'm afraid... as in the old days /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

The Ferret seems to be claiming sole responsibility for being the super hero who managed to get Tarquin to cough up (I hope they have by now) - but surely most of the ground work was done on here? Would it be useful to point this out to the Ferrets?

I'm sure it helped, but it's the end result that counts. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
