just seen 34 kts in Ipswich

There was 33 knots this afternoon in Titchmarsh, which made me pleased with my decision to return to my berth from Fox's yesterday after having some new gear fitted. I didn't see anyone around there; they must be armchair sailors.

34 knots? Pfffft. A mere breeze.
You should have tried the south shore at Harty Ferry late last night where Thames CG sent us to check out a beached boat, come ashore off the moorings. Torrential horizontal rain, could hardly stand. Worst weather I've ever had on a shout. Worst of all I hadn't had my tea when the pager went off....

With the current weather the freezer wont have to work too hard! Looking like N'lys settling in by next weekend so the BH will be cold.
Yep, just been looking at ECMWF synoptics for the next 10 days, and there is a lot of agreement that next weekend is going to be sh*te

Never mind.... i've given up, and find myself in the office instead :(

Rotten isn't it.

I was in Shotley Friday night onwards.... gave up and came home saturday evening as it was too foul to face another night onboard....

(but did get my new freezer working, so ice cream onboard!)

Mines a rocky road please.

Fair weather sailors?

I was down below doing some re-wiring and keeping out of the rain. It certainly got wild during the night with the wind side on - rocked me to sleep!
