Just lost my watch over the side

Bremont have a Velcro strap that fits to both pin bars so if you pop one the other still holds a dangling watch.

Cheap velcro straps that go round both pin bars and pass under the watch may not be attractive but may save the watch if you catch the watch on something.

Euan English was the father of the 2 Bremont founders, was the owner of the She 36 Lady K

I do hope you find it, it will depend on how much mud lies under your berth and if you can precisely pin-point its trajectory and surface entry.

A fellow berth-holder fell in and lost his wallet while floundering around in the water one dark night - a long story. The next morning a diver searched for two hours without finding it, the depth of mud, water opacity plus the lack of exact position of loss made it a hopeless task. I lent him €100 to be able to drive home to Munich to sort out the loss and get new plastic. A salutary tale to not wear or carry anything of value when moving around a boat - and if you must, such as keys when going ashore, put a floating tag on them. A wrist-watch is never necessary to wear aboard; if you race use a stop-watch on a lanyard.

has found it in 5 minutes.

many thanks Duncan, we are now off shopping on a Scottish Isle :encouragement:.

Pleasure to be able to help.
I bought the Mini B for emergency use on the boat but have only used it to 'rescue' neighbours lost items.
Just as well as I don't really fancy having to use it in anger as it would mean a major issue had occurred.
Also, it's good to have a splosh in the dive kit every now and then as it keeps your hand in (in this case in several inches of mud!)

Well done, did Sailorman admit to you it was ever only a decorative piece, he can't actually tell the time, gets confused with the big hand little hand technical stuff.
