Splashed, frantic check to make sure no leaks, had re aligned the prop shaft so had disturbed the volvo seal. Had changed the cam belt etc so had to make sure all was well. Had noticed a tinckling sound but Bruces man was waving me to follow him down the channel so off we went. Lau said whats that noise? Too late now to do much but open the lid, thats the only prob with Bruces, all has to be well when you splash!
The water pump pulley was loose, I had put the v belt on to hold it whilst I tightened the 4 bolts and had forgotten to nip them up! Shit! Anyway a master plan, take it easy to Grahams boat, pull along side and temp tie up, switch off the engine, nip the bolts and off we could go! The plan worked, no damage to the pulley and now we are anchored off Culatra in 27.5 degs, blue sky, supper in the oven and off to the Guadiana tomoz! Magic!
