\"Junk Mail\"

I am very reluctant to open anything that appears in my "Junk Mail" but one has turned up there which purports to be a YBW Newsletter..... has anyone else received this ?

Re: \"Junk Mail\"

I have a feeling when you sign up to this system, there was a tick box to select whether you wanted to recieve their spam.

What annoys me more is that fact they are still using pop-up adverts, their webmaster is in the stone ages, running a slow website with pop-ups is not cool anymore!

Re: "Junk Mail"

Thanks Alan, I was a bit suspicious because I have been using this sight for at least four years now and have never received a "YBW Newsletter" before. One of the american sites that I use (Metal Boat Society) was hacked into last year and all the subscribers were sent a threatening e-mail.... You can't be too careful!

Virus problem

I suspect that the ybw newsletter (or a portion of it) has been bounced to you from the infected email mailbox of a legitimate recipient. Our firewall here has been absolutely bombarded with all manner of rubbish in past week including fragments of press releases that were sent as long as two years back. The sheer weight of virus-induced traffic is slowing down our ability to answer mail at the moment and I suspect we may we losing legitimate mail into the bargain so apologies if anyone is waiting for an answer.

Would emphasise that ybw and other email newsletters sent from here are opt in only and that they all contain an unsubscribe link. Furthermore we don't sell the lists.

The latest ybw newsletter was sent Friday and it was virus free when it arrived on all of our monitoring addresses.
