Jules Verne trophy attempt by Spindrift

Spindrift has just left for an attempt at the Jules Verne trophy, fastest rtw for crewed boats.
Two days from Ushant to Canaries, 3k miles in four days, roughly 30kt average

Currently 547 miles ahead of where IDEC was, off the Brazilian coast.

I'm guessing about another 18-24 hours heading south before they start to make a bit of easting

Vraiment incroyable.

Lead was down to nearly 0 yesterday, now up to 342 nm. Now they are rocking again. Heading east in fresh breeze.

Something looking strange.
Current speed only 13 knots in 20 + knots of wind.
I'm hoping it is an error and that they will gybe south again soon.
