I think Fatipa said they would be coming back today (Monday), and judging by their conspicuous absence on the forum, it seems that is what they are doing.

Looking out the window in sunny Hampshire right now, it should be a dry, (but cold!) crossing.

Wind at Chimet (chichester bar beacon) was North 12 knots at 12.30 Monday. I was thinking of Jimi yesterday afternoon when the wind was strong North and pissing it down. If he had Claysie with him he would really be longing for his Covered doghouse!

Got back on the Ferry last night! Very eventful Sunday including running back to Cherbourg in a F8 and getting knocked down (twice) by large breaking wave near Cap de la Hague. Will post story later

Bit of a giveaway "got home on the ferry" and what about this "large breaking wave near Cap de la Hague" that is the bit that sticks out to the west of Cherbourg? I thought the plan was to go St Vaast.

The Hon. Member for Melfort was safely tucked up watching the Rugby and all he can say is thanks to Rugby - the mad wee Jamesie had invited me on this trip...can't wait for the full story to emerge - far more exciting than the Prince Charles nonsense. Wonder if the holding tank retained its contents in the knockdowns?

Re: Just remind me

Yes, I'm sure he did, a pass with distinction - bit shakey on the metreology bit though.

Re: Just remind me

Was it a fast track approach - if so he is getting his experiance up. We nearly agreed to accompany him - but wanted to go this W/E -

I am not sure that Cross channels at this time of year are not too much of an endurance test.

The 'normal' way to post a picture is to put it on a website somewhere -there are freebie sites around, some limitations on size... then you just post the url here... like this... myphoto

the above link is typed in thus

<url=www.pbase.com/image/21646271.jpg>myphoto
with [ and ] instead of < >.
Edited by DeeGee on 25/11/2003 12:54 (server time).
