Weel ah'd better post the story. Got a new genoa, manufacturer measured it, made the genoa but forgot to take account of sail attacment points on the luff length when makin the sail. Consequently the halyard swivel has partially pulled through the top of the forestay foil. Its still working but I would'nt wish to be in an exposed position when it jams. The sail manufacturer have held up their hands admitted fault and have been very helpful in getting the problem sorted. However we are awaiting a part from the roller reefing manufacturer. I had hoped it would be fixed by now but unfortunately not.

re weatherhelm .....

did this happen after the holding tank was discovered? weight distribution v. important i'm told and with years of turd collection in a tank on one side of the boat points the finger .... and, furthermore, indeed, has its removal sprung the hull shape such that the bow's lifted up thereby accounting for the genoa problem ....

remedy would seem simple, replace the tank ....
