I bought one of the above props 6 years ago and now the blades are very loose despite regular servicing and no abuse in use. The engine (also 6 years old), although perfectly Ok in neutral , will not now achieve 90% of design revs under load as it used to. In fact it is more like 70%. I have put this down to increased pitch brought on by the blades "leaning" into the water flow in ahead and intend to remove the prop for investigation into a good solution. Darglow are a bit luke warm about this and say that they "might" be ale to effect an "elastoplast type"repair which is not encouraging. I would like to hear from other JF users who may have had this problem

Not sure of your HP or usage but I chose the Variprop feathering propeller when Darglow suggested I bought the dearer bigger hub version for the heavier use of the charter market.
