Did you know that this winter (Northern Hemisphere) there will be THREE female solo sailoresses rounding Cape Horn at about the same time all going from west to east and all hoping to circumnavigate non-stop!!!

Jessica, Abby and Jeanne. It is sure going to be crowded in the Magellan Straits.

I have been following Jeanne http://www.svnereida.com/ , not quite as young as the others but this lady gets my vote as a true inspiration given what she has been through.

Thanks for that. Jeanne's story is very touching - setting of with her partner on the retirement dream then carrying on alone after her husband died. She seems a very brave an unassuming lady.
