i think it would be prudent to postpone the trip on the recommendations.

however, i don't think this proves that a 16 year old couldn't be capable of the voyage - just that this 16 year old is not yet ready.

no doubt this will all generate more publicity for her if she does go ahead.

Eh?

.

Your link is NOT to the MSA (Queensland) report, it is a link to a report on an Ozzie news site which quotes selectively from the report. We have all read this article, it was linked to in the original thread started four weeks ago HERE

Jessica has since successfully completed her sea trials trip to Sydney and a departure date for her around the world trip should be announced next week.

Apologies for that - the link just arrived on my email and i didn't go back to the old thread. But anyway it's food for thought.

The OP's link is to a rather sensationalist article in a non-specialist newspaper that was published almost two weeks ago, and only two weeks after the collision.
Given that the UK's MAIB usually takes months to report on a collision, rather than weeks (the Ouzo report was published in April, after a collision the previous August), I think it unlikely that Maritime Safety Queensland would have come up with a report so quickly. There is nothing on the MSQ website to suggest that a report has been published.
