Jabsco washdown pump connector stuck?

The connector in the photo is stuck, I can't get it out.
Before I gorilla it with a hand vice (mole wrench) which way should it release?
I've been trying anticlockwise and up, by hand, but I can't shift it.
I don't want to knacker it trying to force it the wrong way.
Any idea?

Sorry to ask the obvious…but might the downward pointing arrow suggest you need to push it down and turn ? I’ve no idea, nor ever had similar. But thought I’d ask at least have a go at an answer !

It is a bayonet style connection - requires pushing in and turning anti-clockwise to remove
