Have also had problems. Toilet was supposedly serviced with service kit but seems no better. We have limited water coming in. Have tried flushing through with lots of water and pumping but no change. Should we also be looking at a new toilet? Seems such a waste when rest of toilet in very good condition. Front head works perfectly.

There's no reason why the toilet should wear out except for the inside bore of the pump cylinder becoming scored or worn and if that was the case you might well find that pumping out was poor as well. Have you changed the gasket on the piston and the one at the top of the cylinder that the rod runs through. If these are new and well greased with silicon grease and the two top flap valves and lower flap valve are all in good condition there is no reason that the toilet shouldn't last forever.

Are you sure that you haven't got a blockage somewhere or partially failed seacock on the sea water side?

As said earlier, check that you have the weighted valve on the left (looking at the loo) under the top cover of the pump. I guess there will be plenty of old stock service kits in the supply chain, you may have got one.... Partial blockage on the inlet side reveals itself by "springy" action at the bottom of the pump stroke.
