Been no problems with it til yesterday as we were about to leave the boat for home. Bowl just kept filling with water. It's filled from the fresh water tank. We only have a discharge seacock on our boat. Toilet above water line, fresh water tank below water line so gravity not the issue. Still kept filling (albeit slowly) with water pump switched off. My feeling is its the rocker switches and whatever controls those (someone mentioned the solonoid??). Anybody had the same issue and could shed some light?? The only thing we could do to stop the flow was drain the water tank. Can't find a manual online as yet.
Thanks
Lisa

hi lisa ....hope u n yours are all ok......if you go onto the sealine forum they have a section with loads of uploadable "manuals". i dont know if there is your spercific head but thats where i would start searching............just a thought...

Hi Lisa, sounds as if you have a bit of muck in the solenoid stopping it closing properly, after turning off the pump there will still be pressure in the system but once that has gone it should stop filling. You might find that a few flushes will clean through whatever is stopping the solenoid from shutting, worth a try.
regards Neil
ps spoke to you on pontoon last week whilst you were memorising the volvo manuals !

Lol Neil...I thought this was you :). Just spoke to Jabsco and yeh he feels its a solonoid blockage. Just need to locate it now!! The water kept flowing long after we'd switched off the pump so just safer to drain the whole tank. We've moved now to J3 btw if ever you wander down that end and fancy a cuppa.

Yup, it's almost certainly the solenoid valve on the flush water supply failing to shut. Easily replaceable part provided Sealine located it conveniently, which not all builders do ...

If the price for the replacement part is crazy Essex Boatyards have a few of these lying around in their spares box

Meantime, after you shut off the freshwater pressurisation pump, open one of the basin/sink taps and that will depressurise the system

Yes id back that up def a small piece of debris in the valve, very easy to sort out just a screw from memory, clean out under tap and refit.

Ive thought of fitting an inline filter before each valve as a precaution.

Paul, d'you know if it's easy to access on the sc35 by chance. Got nothing manual wise to show me exactly where it is or how to get to it. Thanks
Lisa
