Jabsco pooper leaking up the handle - any easy fixes on a charter boat?

Really isn't a big deal, but I've never had a boat that had a Jabsco.

When I pump the handle (on either the "fill" or the "empty" setting"), a small leak travels up the metal road connected to the handle, and out on to the heads floor. I have no reason to believe it's not what was in the bowl in the first place, though haven't done forensic testing on it.

It's not a massive leak, and it will certainly wait until I return the boat to base in 4 days time, but if there was an easy thing I could do to stop it doing this slightly unsavoury thing, I would be jolly interested.

It's wear or failure of the the lip seal in the top cover. Above the piston is nominally seawater, not bowl content, so should be harmless. A bit of grease on the piston rod might give short term relief.

Adding a smear of grease to the shaft may help but the seal does wear and needs replacing from time to time. Most yacht chandlers sell these Jabsco Seal Assembly For 2000 Series Toilets with Grey Pump Handle

Not a big deal, yes keep using it for now.
